La Citadelle Fort Adelaide (also known as La Citadelle) was built in a very strategic location on higher lands of Port Louis at 240 feet above sea level. The construction of Fort Adelaide started in 1832 and completed after almost ten years. Fort Adelaide offers a vast panoramic views of Port-Louis and its harbour. The British built this fortress in fear of a civil war from the remaining French settlers on the island and also for the purpose of guarding the harbour against enemy attacks. A ride uphill to Fort Adelaide, guarantees breathtaking views of Port Louis and of the mountain range surrounding Port Louis.

The Champ de Mars Racecourse is a thoroughbred horse race track in Port Louis, The Racecourse was inaugurated on 25 June 1812, it the oldest horse-racing club in the Southern Hemisphere. When Mauritius gained independence on 12 March 1968, the event including the flag hoisting ceremony was held here. Since then and for many years, the racecourse has seen the annual celebration of the accession to independence. Today, the Champ de Mars attracts tens of thousands of people on each racing day during the racing season from late March to early December and has become the ultimate meeting place for racing fanatics from all over the island and even from abroad. The track has also played a fundamental role in propelling horse racing as the most popular sport and form of entertainment among the local population
The Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanic Garden dates back to the French period. In 1736, the French governor, Mahé de Labourdonnais, chose to set up his domain around the present Main Gate at Pamplemousses. In 1767 of the French Intendent, Pierre Poivre introduced vegetables, fruits and flowers from all over the world. The Garden is one of the oldest Botanic Garden of the southern hemisphere. The Garden covers an area of 3 3 Hectares. It is managed by a Trust known as the SSR Botanic Garden Trust enacted in May 1999. The main objectives of the SSR Botanic Garden Trust are conservation, education, recreation, culture and history.
The Aapravasi Ghat, World Heritage Property, originally known as the Immigration Depot, was constructed in 1849 to receive newly arrived immigrants under indenture. Between 1834 and 1920, almost half a million indentured labourers arrived from India at Aapravasi Ghat to work in the sugar plantations of Mauritius, or to be transferred to Reunion Island, Australia, southern and eastern Africa or the Caribbean. The buildings of Aapravasi Ghat are among the earliest explicit manifestations of what was to become a global economic system and one of the greatest migrations in history.
Ship Model Factory “Le Port” manufacturer of ship models started the building of ship models in 1988 and have since then built thousands of replicas of famous boats among them, the “HMS Bounty”, “the HMS Victory”, “The Soleil Royal”, “The Black Pearl”, “The Wasa”. View the making and also the display of a large variety of ship models built at different scales. The models are now exposed around the world from French Embassy to Arabian Palaces, from Chinese Companies and houses to Indian Palaces. One of the biggest model of the “HMS Victory”, 390 cm in length can still be seen in Mauritius.
Trou aux Cerfs – Mauritius famous crater. This huge natural volcanic crater, 85m deep and 200m wide, was formed millions of years ago. Here you will have a beautiful panoramic view of the crater and the town of Curepipe, and when the sky is clear it is possible to see all the way to Reunion Island.
On top of the dormant volcano, you are greeted with breathtaking views of Curepipe and its surroundings — the kind that early morning joggers and walkers love.
Grand Bassin (also known as Ganga Talao). Grand Bassin is a lake in a secluded mountain area. It is about 1800 feet (550m) above sea level. Grand Bassin with its Hindu temple is a holy lake for Mauritians of Hindu faith. The lake rests in the crater of an extinct volcano. It is said that the water inside the lake communicates with the waters of the holy Ganges of India. The Hindus of Mauritius declared the Grand Bassin as a Holy lake.
Mare aux Vacoas - the largest freshwater lake and reservoir of Mauritius. Mare aux Vacoas, dotted with casuarina and coniferous trees, offers a unique surrounding of an alpine wilderness.

La Vallée Des Couleurs Nature Park La Vallée des Couleurs Nature Park, operational since the 4th July 1998, is actively engaged in the business of eco-tourism. The fascinating attractions revolve around the indigenous fauna and flora, including the 23- coloured earth which are displayed with the domain. Spread over some 450 acres of land, it is the signature of the Park and constitutes a unique geological feature in this part of the world. In addition, there is a big selection of water sports kiosks along certain parts of Ile Aux Cerfs beach including: water skiing, banana, glass bottom boats and more. Ile Aux Cerfs is a highly recommended location for snorkeling. The coral reef is beautiful and full of marine life, and together with the large black rocks that protrude into the water, it is an ideal place to snorkel and to enjoy the rich underwater world.
